How should I layer Barefaced products in my routine?Updated 4 months ago

The general rule of thumb is to apply products from thinnest to thickest consistency, starting with cleansing and finishing with protection. Here’s a simple layering guide:

Cleanser: Start with a gentle cleanser to remove dirt, oil, and makeup.

Exfoliating Pads (Toning Pads, Polishing Pads, etc.): Use after cleansing to exfoliate and prep skin for serums.

Serums (Vitamin C, Brightening Serum, Liquid Gold, Overachiever, etc.): Apply lightweight serums first, giving each a few moments to absorb.

Moisturizer: Lock in hydration and support your skin barrier.

SPF: Finish your morning routine with sunscreen to protect against UV damage.

💡 Pro tips:

If you’re introducing multiple active products (like acids or retinoids), start slow and alternate days to avoid irritation.

Always apply products to slightly damp skin for maximum absorption. If you have sensitive skin, wait 30 seconds in between application.

At night, skip the SPF and focus on repair with treatments like retinoids. In the evening, apply your retinoid prior to your moisturizer.
